DeAndre Jordan took the mound at Anaheim Stadium to throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game between the Angels and White Sox. Unlike many celebrities that stand in front of the mount to throw out the first pitch, Jordan decided to stand on the mound. Being a 7 footer, Jordan on the mound looked like a giant, but was able to throw a strike, with the pitch landing on the edge of the strike zone.
Afterwards, Jordan shared his thoughts:
When Paul Pierce had the same opportunity at Dodger Stadium last month, he didn't have quite the success as DJ, throwing a one bouncer to home plate.
Another thing to notice, Angels fans were accepting of DJ, actually cheering his first pitch attempt, unlike Dodgers fans with their reactions with Paul Pierce, and Chris Paul in the past.
After the game, the guys from Fox Sports Angels Live shared their thoughts on Jordan's pitch, and they seemed impressed.
