During that stretch, Paul lead the Clippers to a perfect 3-0 mark, with victories over the Trail Blazers, Hornets, and Pelicans. With Blake Griffin out with an injury, Paul has stepped up not only as a leader, but statistically as well. He averaged 24 points, 12 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals per game, while shooting 54%. On top of that, his +/- was a positive 44 for the 3 games played.
With it looking like Griffin will be out another week or two, the Clippers will need Paul to continue his great play and leadership, as the schedule is about to get a lot more tough. The next 8 games for the Clippers include home games against the Heat (22-15), Kings (15-22), and Rockets (19-19), before heading out on a 5 game east coast road trip that includes the Caveliers (26-9), Knicks (19-20), Raptors (24-15), Pacers (21-16), and Hawks (23-15).
