DeAndre Jordan's Consecutive Games Streak in Jeopardy

DJ is officially listed as questionable for tomorrow night's home game against the Miami Heat.

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

March 23rd, 2011. That was the last time the Clippers took the floor without their high-flying man in the middle. That was nearly five years ago and since then, DeAndre Jordan has amassed a 360 consecutive games played streak that stands as the longest active streak in the NBA. That's a lot of games. The streak is made even more impressive when you consider his role as a physical big man, as oft-injured a position as exists in the league. Then again, big or small, there aren't many other players with comparable athleticism and physical ability.

It appears though, that the Clippers are concerned about his availability for tomorrow's game after he missed practice today with flu-like symptoms (via Ben Bolch, LA Times).

DJ's absence could mean trouble for another impressive streak, as it's tough to imagine a Clippers squad down DeAndre and Blake taking their current 9-game win streak to double digits tomorrow night. No word yet on whether or not this was Chipotle-related, but let's cross our fingers for a streak-extending, quick recovery for the NBA's current Iron Man.
