Quick recap: Clippers defeat Blazers 114-106

The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Portland Trailblazers 114-106 at the Moda Center.

The Clippers opened with the familiar starting lineup of Paul, Redick, Mbah a Moute, Griffin, and Jordan. The game was tight through most of the first quarter, but the Clippers second unit help spark a 16-0 run across the first and second quarters to give a Clippers a comfortable lead at half time.

The Blazers went on a second half run to keep the game close, and the Western Conference rivals were tied at 82 heading into the fourth quarter. The reserve unit for the Clippers gave them the edge they needed, with the Clippers pulling away in the last five minutes and ultimately handling the Blazers a 114-106 loss. Blake Griffin and Chris Paul each scored 27 points.

The Clippers host the Utah Jazz Sunday, October 30, 1:30 PM at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
