Paul Pierce’s passion for Halloween is well-documented, but this year’s costume takes the cake. Pierce arrived to the stadium and took in the Clippers’ pre-game warmups from the bench in very convincing Rick James attire, taking full advantage of an ankle injury that has sidelined him to start the season.
Paul Pierce, out with an ankle injury, is in the Halloween spirit with this Rick James... https://t.co/EsaMgZvYkd pic.twitter.com/K05LatXpic

Pierce claimed that it all started with the wig purchase, but the rest of the attire came directly from his own closet, not the Chapelle’s Show vault. Thanks to Ralph Lawler and some hart-hitting investigative journalism on last night’s broadcast, we also learned that Doc actually offered to let Pierce remain in costume for the game, but he (unfortunately) respectfully declined. Though The Truth didn’t even see the court last night, chalk this one up as a clear, undisputed victory.
