According to a release from the Indiana Pacers, both Paul George and Kevin Seraphin will miss the team’s game against the LA Clippers on Sunday. Both players also missed tonight’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, and will miss the team’s match-up with the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
These absences will give the Clippers an advantage on Sunday, as George is the Pacers’ best player and leading scorer by a significant margin. C.J. Miles will likely start in George’s place, as he did tonight, and while Miles is a nice player, it’s a huge downgrade at the small forward position.
The Clippers play the Pacers again on December 4th in Los Angeles, which will be Indiana’s next game after their game against Portland on Wednesday. The Clippers, with the densest schedule in the league, will play three games in the same span. It’s likely that both of these players are being ruled out so that they can rest until the team’s large break, and then play in the second match-up against the Clippers, but their health will be worth monitoring.
