According to multiple reports (and even a notification from my NBA app), Channing Frye will now head to Cleveland, and Anderson Varejao will move to Portland. There are definitely other moving parts in this deal--some incentives heading to the Blazers, definitely--but we'll have to wait for the dust to settle for all of that to be finalized.
Ultimately, Doc Rivers had the final chance to pull the trigger on a trade centering around Lance Stephenson for Frye, and decided against it. Does he have something up his sleeve? Was the Frye rumor only posturing in an attempt to boost Lance's value? Or was he just not confident enough on the wing to justify moving Lance for a big man at the last minute? It's impossible to know at this point in time.
