As we all know, J.J. Redick recently hit a nice game winner against the Portland Trailblazers that helped the Clippers eek out a win they sorely needed. In the play Redick displayed his awesome ability to run around screens and catch the ball before effortlessly shooting and hitting a contested jumper. J.J. Redick shots 50% on all his catch-and-shoot shots, 49% from 3, and has an effective field goal percentage on catch-and-shoot shots of 68%!
While DeAndre Jordan, Blake Griffin, and Chris Paul get most (if not all) of the headlines for the Clippers, J.J. Redick has really blossomed with the Clippers. In his 2+ (going on his third) year with the team, Redick has shot 44.5% from three, and have had an effective field goal percentage of 57.9%. In his 3 years before joining the Clippers, Redick shot (with Orlando and Milwaukee) 38.8% from 3 and had a 52.8% effective field goal percentage. Whether it's being healthier or having Chris Paul as your point guard (probably both), Redick is in his prime. He leads the NBA in 3-point percentage at 47.9% (with a decent 1.7% lead on the next person, Kawhi Leonard). It's simply a joy to watch him play.
