With Chris Paul, J.J. Redick, and DeAndre Jordan all sitting out, most of us here at Clips Nation probably had super low expectations for tonight's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. I mean, it was just five days ago that the Thunder pounded a depleted San Antonio Spurs squad by 19 points — surely our Jamal Crawford and Austin Rivers led team would meet a similar fate, right?
WRONG!
Surprisingly, the Clippers pushed the Thunder all the way to the final seconds (before succumbing to a Steven Adams tip-in), and it was thanks in large part to J Crossover and Baby Rivers having their best games of the year. The two were unconscious from the floor and combined for 64 points on 12-17 shooting from behind the arc.
And you can remember this unprecedented performance forever with this amazing "Dynamic Duos" graphic TNT put up late in the game:
Treasure it, Clips Nation. Best loss of the year!
Sidenote: Jamal also made some history with the performance.
Jamal Crawford is the 30th player in NBA history age 36 or older to score at least 32 points in game, per Clippers. pic.twitter.com/JvQoAIKwZv
