Chris Paul took to Twitter earlier this afternoon to announce that he will be part of LA's bid to host the Olympics in 2024.

The Athletes Advisory Commission, made up of over 50 Olympians and Paralympians with a combined 142 gold medals, will be tasked with providing feedback to the bid team led by mayor Eric Garcetti and former Olympian Janet Evans. With two gold medals to his name (2008 - Beijing, 2012 - London), Chris should be well-equipped to provide the commission with valuable insight into the accommodations necessary to enhance the experience of the close to 3,000 athletes who would be visiting from across the globe.
The International Olympic Committee will be announcing the host city on September 13 and until then, Los Angeles will be jockeying with Paris, Rome, and Budapest with hopes of bringing the Olympics back to the U.S. for the first time since 1996.
