Now that we're just a few days away from the Clippers' first summer league game, the team has come out with the full roster that they'll take to Orlando. Here's the list:
Guards:
David Michineau, 6'4" 22-year-old French PG who was selected by the Clippers with the 39th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. The Clippers own his rights. In his 58 games for French club Chalon last season, Michineau averaged 5.8 points and 1.9 assists in 14.3 minutes per game.
C.J. Wilcox, 6'5" 25-year-old SG who was selected by the Clippers with the 28th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. He has a fully guaranteed contract with the Clippers next season. He has played two seasons with the Clippers, appearing in 44 games and shooting 16-42 (38%) from deep. In 21 NBA D-League games last year, Wilcox averaged 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists a game while shooting 42% from deep.
Alex Hamilton, 6'4" 22-year-old PG/SG who went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft. He is a free agent. In his senior year at Louisiana Tech, Hamilton averaged 20.1 points, 6.3 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.9 steals.
Andrew Andrews, 6'2" 23-year-old PG who went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft. He is a free agent. In his senior year at Washington, Andrews averaged 20.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.9 assists while shooting 40.1% from deep.
Wes Washpun, 6'1" 23-year-old PG who went undrafted in the 2016 NBA Draft. He is a free agent. In his senior year at University of Northern Iowa, Washpun averaged 14 points, 5.3 assists, and 4 rebounds.
Wings:
Branden Dawson, 6'7" 23-year-old SF/PF who was selected by the Clippers with the 56th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. He has a non-guaranteed contract for the Clippers next season. In his rookie season, he made 6 appearances with the Clippers. In 29 NBA D-League games last year, Dawson averaged 10.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in 21 minutes per game.
Royce O'Neale, 6'6" 23-year-old SF who went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft. He is a free agent. O'Neale averaged 8.4 points and 4.5 rebounds in 18 minutes a game in the German league last season. He shot 32.3% from deep in Germany after being a career 39.8% shooter from deep in four NCAA seasons.
Julian Washburn, 6'8" 24-year-old SF who went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft. He is a free agent. Washburn averaged 4.3 points and 3 rebounds in a reserve role in the NBA D-League last season, shooting 40% from three.
Bigs:
Brice Johnson, 6'11" 22-year-old PF/C who was selected by the Clippers with the 25th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. The Clippers own his rights. Johnson averaged 17 points and 10.5 rebounds as one of the leaders at the University of North Carolina last season.
Diamond Stone, 6'10" 19-year-old C who was selected by the Clippers with the 40th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. The Clippers own his rights. Stone averaged 12.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game in 22.8 minutes as a freshman at Maryland.
TaShawn Thomas, 6'8" 23-year-old PF who went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft. Thomas is a free agent. In the German league last season, Thomas averaged 12.9 points and 7.1 rebounds in 29.4 minutes a game.
Vince Hunter, 6'8" 21-year-old PF who went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft. Hunter is a free agent who signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Kings last summer, but was waived before ever playing a game. In the NBA D-League, he averaged 22 points and 11 rebounds a game last season. The reason Hunter is so young is that he entered the draft after his sophomore year at UTEP.
Greg Stiemsma, 6'11" 30-year-old C with four seasons of NBA experience. Stiemsma is trying to play his way back into the league after not playing last season and appearing in just 17 games during the 2015 season. In his three seasons as a role player, he averaged 3 points, 3 rebounds, and a block in 15 minutes a game.
Coaches:
Brendan O'Connor will be the Clippers' SL head coach again. He's been on staff with the team for a while now, and he is slated for a possible move to the bench as an assistant coach for next season, with Lawrence Frank moving to the front office to cover for Kevin Eastman's retirement.
The Clippers' summer league season kicks off at 5:00 pm Eastern time on July 2nd against the Miami Heat. They will also play July 3rd at 5:00 pm Eastern against Oklahoma City. Their last two scheduled games are against New York on Tuesday, July 5th and against Orlando on Thursday, July 7th, both at 3:00 pm Eastern.
