The Clippers finally have a TV deal! Fans may have been getting anxious with the seeming lack of progress over the summer, but they can now rest assured that they will be able to watch their Clippers at home for seasons to come. The deal is "multi-year", though a previous rumor from a week ago had it at two years only. We will wait to see when more explicit terms are released.
All regular season games not on national broadcasts will be telecast, as will some preseason games and the first round of the playoffs. All games will be available to stream on the FOX Sports GO app for customers with a pay-TV subscription.
There is also a brief mention of "new, innovative digital offerings" to select fans on a trial basis. I would guess that these offerings would attempt to bring a more immersive in-arena type feel to the broadcasts, but again, we don’t know specifics just yet. Later on, the term "revolutionary digital products" is thrown out, so it’s possible something truly spectacular is in the works.
