After sightings of Kevin Garnett at Clippers training camp, many fans were hoping that a more permanent roll would be coming for Garnett. It was obvious that he would be able to help Clippers big men Blake Griffin and Deandre Jordan. Although a little later than hoped for, Clippers fans have gotten their wish. The Clippers announced today that Kevin Garnett would be joining the team on a part-time basis, per Brad Turner.

Garnett joins the Clippers with the official title of Consultant. He will focus on working with the Clippers bigs. Garnett retired this off-season after 21 years in the NBA, spending time with the Nets, Celtics, and Timberwolves, who drafted him straight out of high school in the 1995 NBA Draft. He participated in 15 all-star games, made 9 all-NBA teams, was the 2007-08 Defensive Player of the Year, and the 2003-04 MVP. He is considered by many to be one of, if not the, best power forward in NBA history.
