Blake Griffin has been sidelined since December after having surgery to remove bone and cartilage from his right knee. About a week-and-a-half ago there was an update that Blake was on schedule to return. Now there is another update that Blake Griffin is indeed ready to play as soon as the Clippers decide he is ready. Per Dan Woike of the OC Register,
Rivers said he’s not made a decision whether to play Griffin on Monday in Atlanta or Tuesday in Philadelphia.
Nevertheless,
[Blake Griffin] has been cleared for contact and has been playing 1-on-1 with his teammates.
Hopefully his return will allow the Clippers to not only keep home-court advantage in hand, but maintain the possibility of the Clippers grabbing (at least) the third seed in the Western Conference playoff standings.
