According to Doc Rivers, Chris Paul will miss tonight’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a sore left hamstring. The team remains extremely cautious while monitoring his recovery, but Doc noted that Chris looked good earlier today and has a better chance of returning to action on Friday in Sacramento.
Clippers first-round pick Brice Johnson, who has been struggling with an acute herniated disc in his lower back, participated in shootaround today. He’s still officially ruled OUT on the injury report, but this is a good sign that the rookie is on the mend and hopefully preparing to make his Clippers debut in the coming weeks.
There has still been no official update on Blake Griffin, who had surgery on December 20th to remove “loose bodies” from his right knee. He was initially supposed to be out for 3-6 weeks, although that was adjusted to 4-6 weeks following the procedure. The two-week mark passed yesterday, which means that Griffin is still at least a couple more weeks away from taking the court, but updates regarding his rehab and on-court preparations could be coming soon.
