Mike Dunleavy, Sr. was once the coach and general manager of the Clippers—affectionately known around these parts as CGMMDSr. He coached 541 games for the Clippers over 7 seasons, compiling a record of 215-326 (39.7%). His best season with the team came in 2005-2006, when the Clippers advanced past the Denver Nuggets in the first round and fell to Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference semi-finals. The Clippers narrowly missed the post-season in 2007, making 2006 Dunleavy’s only playoff exposure with the Clippers.
Now he’s the head coach of the Tulane University Men’s Basketball team... and, apparently, Jackie Moon of the Flint Tropics—Will Ferrell’s character from the movie Semi-Pro.
