Danilo Gallinari Out with Left Hip Contusion

Danilo Gallinari will not return to the Clippers’ game against the Heat due to a left hip injury

NBA: Miami Heat at Los Angeles Clippers Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The Clippers are having a bad stretch of games, and today’s game against the Heat might be their worst yet. They are down by double digits points early in the second half, and Danilo Gallinari, their starting small forward, won’t return to the game with a left hip contusion.

Gallo hasn’t been playing well, but his absence will still be felt for the rest of the game. He had scored 6 points on 1-5 shooting (4-4 from the free throw line) with 1 rebound and 1 assist in 13 minutes played in the first half. The Clippers’ started Wes Johnson in his stead.

This is only a contusion, so hopefully Gallo will be able to play in the Clippers’ next game, which is Tuesday against the Spurs. If not, then Friday at Oklahoma City should be the return date. Have a speedy recovery Gallo!
