The same night that they get guard Milos Teodosic back from a foot injury that has cost him over a month of his season, the Clippers have lost starting small forward Danilo Gallinari to a new glute injury. Gallinari had missed 13 games with a different glute injury before returning to the Clippers’ lineup for the last two games, but suffered a hard fall in the team’s last win against the Washington Wizards and will now be out for a least a couple more games as he tries to recover enough to re-join the lineup.
It’s the latest injury to a starter for the Clippers, who haven’t been able to catch a break all season. Star forward Blake Griffin could miss up to eight weeks with a sprained MCL, starting point guard and all-defense first teamer Patrick Beverley will miss the season following knee surgery, Teodosic has only played in two games due to a plantar fascia injury, and Gallinari is now going to miss even more time.
