Clippers Injury Update: Lou Williams to Return Tonight vs Suns

Finally, some good news.

NBA: Los Angeles Clippers at Miami Heat Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

After a one-game absence due to a right foot sprain, Lou Williams is available to play tonight against the Phoenix Suns, according to Clippers PR.

Williams’ only missed game due to this injury, Monday’s 18-point loss to the Spurs, where the Clippers scored just 91 points as Austin Rivers, Milos Teodosic, and Jawun Evans struggled to lead the Clippers’ offensive attack.

Williams has been phenomenal for the Clippers this season, averaging 19.9 points, 4.9 assists, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.9 steals per game for the Clippers while combining his traditional bench scoring role with an increased responsibility to run the offense and distribute the basketball. He’s also been phenomenally efficient, shooting 44% from the field and 39% from deep in what has been his best professional season to date. The Clippers desperately need his help offensively with Patrick Beverley, Danilo Gallinari, and Blake Griffin all inactive for the foreseeable future with various ailments.
