Alan Anderson has had limited time on the court thus far. But anyone who has watched the Clippers this year is familiar with his bearded face, which is constantly cheering from the sidelines.
Before tipoff, Anderson warms up by running around and giving his teammates elaborate handshakes, which are built based on the various personalities on the team.
It is impossible to measure how important or significant a player like Anderson is for an NBA team, but it is clear that the Clippers love his energy and support.
In the past, Matt Barnes has been a team favorite, but not quite in the same way that Anderson is. While Barnes seemed to be willing to do anything — including fight — for his teammates, he was also a bit of a distraction at times. Although Anderson does not match Barnes’ intensity or on-court production, his more light-hearted nature works as an uplifting force for the team, regardless of his personal success.
