Wednesday night, the NBA released the schedule for the opening game of each first-round playoff series. Per the leaked memo, the Clippers and Jazz will play the night game (10:30 EST) on Saturday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
Based on this, I’d expect that game 2 should be Monday night, but we’ll know for certain when the full schedule is released tomorrow.
UPDATE (Adithya): The full schedule for Round 1 has been released. We have the dates below, and you can see the times for other series over at the mothership.
Note that the times listed are local and EST, so the left times for Games 3 and 4 are actually in Mountain, and will start at 7:00 and 6:00 PM PST, respectively.
All things considered this is a pretty solid draw for the Clippers, who get multiple days off before Games 1, 2, 3, and 6. Contrast that with 2015, where they didn’t get more than a single day off between Game 2 of the first round and Game 6 of the second round. In case the Utah series stretches out, at least we don’t have to worry that they’ll be run into the ground going straight from that to a potential second-round matchup with Golden State.
