According to Caden Kinard of Clippers.com, Austin Rivers has been ruled out for game 4 of the Clippers’ first-round series against the Utah Jazz with a strained hamstring. The Clippers currently lead the series 2-1 heading into tomorrow’s game 4 in Salt Lake City. Rivers has missed all three games of the series after being a key rotational piece and part-time starter for the Los Angeles Clippers this season.
After Blake Griffin was ruled out for the remainder of the season today with a toe injury, the Clippers are in dire need of help wherever they can get it. Rivers’ contributions on both ends of the floor, along with his positional versatility, will make him a critical asset for L.A. whenever he is able to return.
Originally, Rivers had eyed a game 4 return from this hamstring injury, which also sidelined him for the final two weeks of the regular season.
