You might want to leave work early and get in front of a TV for this one.
After the most insane week of pre-draft rumors in recent memory, tonight we will finally see 60 young players selected to join the ranks of the NBA. There’s going to be a little more going on than that, though: rumored players on the trade block include Paul George, Jimmy Butler, Kristaps Porzingis, and DeAndre Jordan, among others—and those are just the ones that we’ve heard about. We’ll certainly be blindsided by some brand new deals made during the draft.
Oh, and did I mention that Dwight Howard, D’Angelo Russell, and Brook Lopez have all already found new homes this week?
Even though the Clippers don’t have a pick of their own in this year’s draft—having sent their first rounder to dump Jared Dudley’s contract (bad move) and their second rounder to acquire combo guard Austin Rivers (good move)—they’re expected to be active in trade talks, almost certainly buying into the second round but potentially swinging a big deal to shake up the team’s core.
So park yourself in front of a TV, open twitter, and watch a whole evening of your life fly by. Here are the details:
