According to Patrick Engel, who covers SMU basketball, former SMU point guard Nic Moore will play for the Clippers in the Vegas Summer League. Moore was undrafted in 2016 and spent last season playing for Enel Brindisi in Italy.
Former #SMU F Markus Kennedy is listed on the Detroit Pistons Orlando summer league roster. Nic Moore will play for the LA Clippers SL.

In Italy last season, Moore posted averages of 12.6 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.6 rebounds. He shot 44.3% from the field and 46.4% from beyond the arc. In college, he played one year at Illinois State before transferring and playing his final three seasons for SMU. Playing in the American Athletic Conference, which has some recognizable programs such as Cincinnati, UConn, and Temple, Moore was All-Conference First Team all three years at SMU. He was the AAC Player of the Year his junior and senior seasons.
However, he was never considered much of an NBA prospect due to his size. He’s listed at 5’9” and 155 pounds. Because he spent 5 years in college and last season in Italy, he’s also rather old for a prospect—he’ll turn 25 in July before Summer League begins.
Last summer, Moore played for the Miami Heat in both the Orlando and Vegas Summer Leagues.
