Following this morning’s news that the Clippers have traded Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets for Patrick Beverley, Sam Dekker, Lou Williams, and a first-round pick, the Clippers are reportedly optimistic that they can now keep All-NBA forward Blake Griffin:

Griffin and Paul reportedly had spats, with one recent report indicating that Griffin “wanted no part” of returning to play with Paul for five more years. Personally, I feel like those rumors were blown out of proportion, but it could still indicate that Blake is more likely to return, even though the team will now be worse.
