A Sneak Peek At the Clippers’ Redesigned Court

A video game screengrab is giving us a look at a new home floor.

The NBA internet’s resident jersey/logo/branding expert, Conrad Burry, took to twitter to share some video game screenshots that show new court designs from a few NBA teams: the Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, and L.A. Clippers.

The Clippers’ court has a new, black trim, with a red lane and circular Clippers logo at centercourt. The logo is what it is, but the red paint and black trim remain really nice. I find black trim on basketball courts aesthetically pleasing, so I’m glad that they stuck with it.

The main change seem to be that the top portion of the free throw circle is now just normal wood, instead of blue. Unfortunately, the baseline font remains really lame and generic—almost like a placeholder. Denver and Cleveland, for comparison, both have much nicer fonts for that baseline text.

What do you think of this court design? Let us know in the comments below.
