New Clippers’ Center Willie Reed Arrested on Charge of Domestic Violence

I don’t really have much to add to the story, which is explained in full here by the Miami Herald. Domestic violence is horrible, and not something that should be taken lightly.

We obviously don’t know the full facts of the case yet, and it is unclear whether or not this incident will lead to any further repercussions for Reed. Adam Silver has suspended players for domestic violence before, and Reed might face the same consequences— if the Clippers don’t cut him first.

We will continue covering Willie Reed’s case as more details come out, and as any information about a potential trial is made clear. But after a mostly fantastic summer for the Clippers, this is an undoubted dark spot.
