CJ Williams Leaves Clippers’ Game with Ankle Injury

The basketball gods are very cruel

Just three days away from being through his 45 days in the NBA, CJ Williams left the Clippers’ game against the Warriors after badly turning his ankle coming down from a jump.

Williams had to be carried off the floor and then similarly moved to the locker room, seemingly unable to put any pressure on his right ankle/foot. That is not good.

More updates to come as the Clippers make CJ’s status available. Let’s hope his injury doesn’t end up being severe. Sam Dekker, Tyrone Wallace, and Sindarius Thornwell figure to get more minutes for as long as CJ is out.

The Clippers have given an initial diagnosis of a right ankle sprain, and Williams will not return to the game.
