As if the Clippers weren’t shorthanded enough, they lost Blake Griffin to a concussion in the first quarter of Saturday afternoon’s game against the Golden State Warriors.
Griffin took a hard elbow to the head from Warriors center JaVale McGee as he drove to the rim late in the first quarter, and he remained on the floor for several minutes before being helped to his feet and walking to the locker room.

After being evaluated, Blake was diagnosed with a concussion and will go through the NBA’s concussion protocol. He will not return to this game and we’ll find out more about his status in the coming days.
