The 2018-19 season will now be known as the year of the Gallissance, a revival of Danilo Gallinari.
This season, Gallinari is averaging career highs in: field goal percentage, three point percentage, rebounds, and points per game. Not only that, but he’s had a rejuvenation on the defensive end as well.
Looking specifically at his three point numbers though, he’s one of the best shooters in the entire league. Gallinari is currently the 5th most accurate three point shooter in the NBA, averaging 44.7%. Just look at how clean this shot is.

However, when you take attempts into account, he’s shot way more than the 4 individuals above him. Having participated in the contest in 2010, Gallinari would love to do it again.
“I would love to do it again,” Gallinari said. “I did it in 2010, so if I had a chance to do it again, I’d do it.”

While Gallinari has proven himself worthy of All-Star candidacy this season, he’s definitely earned the opportunity to be in the three-point contest. Winning a three-point championship in his 11th season will only add to the year of the Gallissance.
