Kawhi Leonard is going to be a Los Angeles Clipper.
And Paul George is going to be his co-star.
In two franchise defining moves, the Clippers secured Kawhi Leonard’s free agency commitment late Friday night by pulling off a massive trade for Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Paul George.
All we know so far is that the Clippers are sending the Thunder Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, and what Adrian Wojnarowski called “a record-setting collection of draft choices.” The Clippers are sending the Thunder four unprotected picks, one protected pick, and two pick swaps (presumably LAC 2020, LAC 2022, LAC 2024, MIA 2021, MIA 2023, and swaps for LAC 2021 and LAC 2023).
George requested that the Thunder trade him after Kawhi Leonard recruited him to the Clippers this week.
Hope you took the Clippers to win the championship when the odds were low...
