Not too much has been revealed at Media Day (so far), but one question has (kind of) been answered: Paul George will miss the remainder of training camp, but is aiming for a return to the court “November-ish” per ESPN’s Ramona Shelbourne.
Considering that the NBA regular season doesn’t start until October 22, PG coming back around the start of November would have him missing six games. If that’s an early estimate, than a later one would seem to have him absent a couple extra weeks, and a handful more games. This is around what was originally expected — for PG to miss out on the start of the regular season, but not more than a few weeks.
George said that he’s participating in camp, but not in contact drills, which is about what we’ve seen from video clips so far the past few weeks. As soon as that changes, and he begins to take contact, we should have a better idea of when a return is truly imminent.
The return date for Paul George is a bit of a moving target. But he told me today he’s out all of training camp and hoping to be back “November-ish” catch the full interview in @SportsCenter later today.
