The NBA Draft is less than a week away, so let’s take a look at what kind of action the Clippers might have on draft night.
It’ll be a while until LA picks, as they don’t have a selection until the end of the second round. Pick No. 57 to be exact. They don’t have their first-round pick, as they used it to acquire Marcus Morris Sr. from the New York Knicks back in February.
There’s a chance the Clippers can trade up at some point, and it’s likely they could. I don’t think they’d be content with their lone pick being near the end of the draft, but who knows. Although they pick late, it doesn’t mean they can’t find any value or talent. Last year, the Clippers selected Terance Mann with the 48th overall pick.
It’ll be an interesting draft for sure, as it’s taking place in November as opposed to June when it’s normally held. The Clippers have done a great job over the years at assessing talent at the draft (well, aside from Jerome Robinson), so I wouldn’t be shocked if they make a splash of some sort on Wednesday.
