According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Clippers point guard Patrick Beverley will appear in the All-Star Skills Challenge in Chicago this year.

Beverley is having a strong season for the Clippers, averaging 8.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game while providing his usual stellar defense and shooting 37% from three—plus a career-best 53% on two-point shots. He’s been even better since the start of January, averaging 10 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.1 rebounds while shooting an unconscious 47.8% from beyond the arc in his last ten games.

Beverley participated in the skills challenge once before, winning the competition in 2015 as a member of the Houston Rockets.

This one will have a little extra meaning for Bev, though, as All-Star 2020 is being held in his hometown of Chicago. The city has a lot of meaning for Pat and he has a lot of Chicago pride, so it’s no coincidence that he and the league found an opportunity for him to participate in the festivities this year.
