If you are majorly missing basketball right now — and who would blame you? — there’s a couple ways you can catch some recent games.
The Clippers themselves announced a series of games from the current season will be re-aired on Fox Prime Ticket over the coming month, starting with a clash against the Phoenix Suns from December, which will air tonight starting at 8 pm.
Here’s more of the listings for the coming weeks:
The other way you can watch is through NBA League Pass, which is free through April 22. Games are available on-demand, and if you’re just jonesing to watch anything, you can maybe catch some games you missed the first time around. Or re-watch what you have already seen, the choice is yours.
More news for Friday:
- Ballmer donates $1 million: LA Clippers owner Steve Ballmer has donated $1 million locally, half of that going to educational authorities in Los Angeles going through an unprecedented situation on that front. You can read Blake’s story about it here.
- Mann has surgery: Reserve guard Terance Mann had surgery to fix a ligament in his right hand this week. The wire report does not include a timeline for his return.
- Pierce wanted to be drafted by Clippers: Over at SI’s Clippers zone, they recount Paul Pierce’s recent interview on the All the Smoke podcast, where he revealed he wished to be drafted by the Clippers way back in 1998. Of course, while he’s a local guy part of the reason he wanted it was because he wanted to go No. 1 overall. What could have been?
- Harrell to Pistons? Here’s a new free agency story on SB Nation, this one pairing up big free agents this offseason (whenever that is) with new teams. Montrezl Harrell is included, BUT Michael Pina notes the Clippers really want to keep him around beyond the current season.
Today’s question: We’ve been bouncing around the idea of doing game threads and virtual watch parties of those Prime Ticket re-airings...are you down? Would love to hear what you think, if you want certain posts or tailored a certain way on these. Let us know in the comment section below.
