Welcome to the Clips Nation All-Time Favorite Clipper Bracket! It’s March, and it’s bracket time, so here we go.
This is a 64-player bracket, but rather than seed players 1 to 64, the players have been separated into four sections. For any and all gripes about which players made it into the final 64, please direct them to the selection committee on Twitter (that would be me, @sabreenajm).

Stars
The first grouping of players (the top left of the bracket) is the Stars. Every player who made an All-Star team with the Clippers is in this section. There were a few empty spots after those 13 All-Stars, and some liberty was taken with the final three stars, with “star power” being the tiebreaker. Although there is subjectivity in the selection, the seeding is completely objective: The players are ranked by highest win shares in a Clippers season. For Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, who have yet to complete a full season with the team, their win shares were extrapolated over the full 82 games.

Legends
Category no. 2 (top right of the bracket) takes us to Clippers Legends. All of these players started their Clipper tenures before 1995. None of these players are quite at the star level, but they had some memorable times with the franchise, dating back to the Buffalo Braves and San Diego Clippers days. As with the first category, the players are seeded by the win shares of their best Clippers season.

The Ones That Got Away
The third section of the bracket (bottom right) hurts a little bit, but it feels very true to the Clippers. All of these players started their careers with the Clippers, and most of them with a great deal of hype. However, for a number of reasons, none of them lasted beyond their rookie contracts. Some were traded away, sometimes the team (read: Donald Sterling) was too cheap to re-sign them, and others simply washed out of the league. These young studs should have great careers in Los Angeles, but, alas. They are ranked by the highest win share total of any of their NBA seasons. (SGA’s win shares this year are extrapolated over a full 82 games).

The Best of the Rest
The last category of the bracket (bottom left) features the players who didn’t fit neatly into any other categories: players who landed on the Clippers at various stages of the careers and made an impact either on the court or in the hearts of the fans. These players are ranked by the win shares of their best Clippers season.

Voting for the first round will take place over the next two days. Then we’ll reconvene for the second round, and so on and so forth, until we crown a champion. Print out your own bracket here and compare it as we go along.
It should be fun to see where this ends up!
