Round 4 of the all-time favorite Clipper bracket

The Elite Eight!

We’ve reached the elite eight in our “All-Time Clippers” bracket. We’ve had some upsets and some surprises, but now we’re just one round away from the Final Four! You can access an updated printable bracket right here.

Sweet 16 recap

Our closest matchup came in the “stars” round between Blake Griffin and Kawhi Leonard. Griffin just edged out Leonard, beating him with 52 percent of the vote. To no surprise, Chris Paul took down Lou Williams, receiving nearly 70 percent of the vote.

On to the legends bracket, Bill Walton’s cinderella run came to an end, falling to Ron Harper. There was an upset in the other matchup, as No. 6 Loy Vaught defeated No. 2 Terry Cummings, getting 56 percent of the vote.

Shai Gigeous-Alexander took down Eric Bledsoe in “The Ones That Got Away” side, with No. 9 seed Shaun Livingston squeaking out the upset over No. 5 Quentin Richardson with 57 percent of the vote.

Finally onto the “Best of the Rest” side. Jamal Crawford took down J.J. Redick convincingly, and Sam Cassell pulled off a last-second miracle, defeating Corey Maggette with 53 percent of the vote.

Things are going to get very interesting. These two had the biggest impact in turning the Clippers franchise around. Griffin was there first and put the Clippers on the map, but Paul really helped solidify the Clippers as a true title contender. These results are going to be very interesting.

The Ones That Got Away

This is a very fitting matchups. Two promising young point guards that looked to be the future leader of the franchise. Both had different reasons for leaving, but there’s no denying the lasting impact they left on the team during their short tenure.
