On this date in 32 years ago, Benoit Benjamin put up a stat line that has rarely been seen in the history of the Clippers. On April 2, 1988, Benjamin scored 30 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked six shots in a win over the Sacramento Kings.
He’s one of three Clippers players to ever put up at least those numbers in a game. The other two? Bob McAdoo and Elton Brand.
Benjamin spent the first six seasons of his career with the Clippers. During his time in Los Angeles, he averaged 13.3 points per game, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks a game.
Fun fact, he’s one of two players in team history to wear No. 00. Can you guess the other? Kevin Duckworth in 1997. The more you know!
