Bison Dele, also known as Brian Williams, spent only one season in Los Angeles, playing for the Clippers during the 1995-1996 season. He played in 65 games, starting all 65 of them.
Though his career with the Clippers was only for one season, he’s still in some elite company. Dele is one of nine players in franchise history to average 15.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game while with the Clippers, joining players like Blake Griffin, Elton Brand and Bob McAdoo.
Dele was quite the productive center. He scored at least 20 points 19 different times, including scoring 30 points three times. He also had 19 games where he finished with double-digit rebounds, including a content against the Lakers in which he finished with 18.
His best game as a Clipper came against the Celtics on February 13, 1996. He scored 35 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and had three blocks. For good measure, he added one steal and one assist as well. He’s one of four players in franchise history to have a game of 35/14/3, joining Brand, McAdoo and Charles Smith.
The following year, Dele signed a contract with the Chicago Bulls.
