Craig Smith spent two seasons in Los Angeles during the course of his six-year NBA career. He appeared in 123 total games, getting the start in only two of them. During his time, he’d come off the bench for about 15 points a night. He averaged seven points and three rebounds off the bench.
His first season was his better one, where he played in 75 games and averaged eight points and four rebounds a game. Smith’s best game that season came on March 25 against Houston. On the road, Smith erupted for 25 points and 10 rebounds off the bench. He also added two steals, two blocks and two assists.
Injuries would cut his season short in 2010-2011, as he’d appear in only 48 games. His production took a hit across the board, as he averaged only five points and two rebounds.
That offseason, Smith signed a free-agent contract with the Portland Trail Blazers.
Here’s from his press conference following him becoming a Clipper.
