Luc Mbah a Moute had two separate stints with the Clippers, although it was really only one. During his time with the Clippers in 2018-2019, he appeared in only four games, and was never really part of the team. He had a knee injury that seemed strange and nobody really knew about, so he didn’t contribute whatsoever during that year. He hasn’t appeared in the NBA since.

So, let’s go back to his earlier days with the Clippers. He signed with the Clippers as a free-agent in 2015. Through his two years, he missed only nine games. He played in a total of 155 games, starting 137 of them. Mbah a Moute didn’t really bring much offense to the table, and he never really did during his career. He averaged 4.6 points during those two years. However, his production came on the defensive end.

Mbah a Moute was known for being one of the better defenders in the NBA during his playing days. Check out this footage of his defending current Clipper Kawhi Leonard.

Mbah a Moute always played great defense, and would often take on the task of guarding the opposing team’s best player. Though he was never recognized by the NBA by being selected to an “All-Defensive” team, Clippers fans and NBA fans knew how crucial he was on the defensive end.

After two years with the Clips, Mbah a Moute signed a free-agent contract with the Houston Rockets. A year later, he re-signed with the Clippers, but appeared in only four games in October before missing the remainder of the season with a lingering knee injury. He was waived by the team with two games remaining in the season.

He hasn’t played an NBA game since.
