The LA Clippers have reportedly shut down their practice facility after a person associated with the team in some capacity tested positive for coronavirus.

The positive test was only identified as a member of the Clippers’ traveling party, scheduled to go with the team to Orlando for the restart of the NBA season on July 30, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and the LA Times’ Andrew Greif Thursday. So it is unclear based on the report if it could be a player or a member of the team’s staff, with up to 35 people allowed to travel with each team for the initial phase of the restart.

Wojnarowski noted the team could reopen the practice facility before going to Orlando, Greif reporting it could happen as soon as Friday. One assumes that would only happen if this one positive test is an isolated incident and an outbreak does not occur.

The Clippers are scheduled to travel to Orlando on Wednesday. Their first game in the restart is scheduled to be July 30 against the Lakers.

Best wishes to the person who tested positive and hopefully the rest of the group stays safe.
