According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Clippers guard Landry Shamet has tested positive for coronavirus. He is unlikely to travel with the team to Orlando this week.

Two days ago, the Clippers announced that they were closing down their practice facility after a member of the Clippers’ traveling party had tested positive. It looks like now that member was Shamet.

When speaking with the media the other day, head coach Doc Rivers said that nobody on the team had the virus, to his knowledge.

“Again, I wouldn’t even know that information, which is good. I think so far, at least in our homestead, so far, so good. Guys have done a great job trying to protect themselves, but this virus, he’s a mean customer. So we’re just doing our best here.”

Just the other day, Shamet spoke with the media for 20 minutes about everything that is going on.

The Clippers are expected to travel to Orlando on Wednesday. Their first game is scheduled for July 30.
