Well, no one wanted to see it get to this point, but the LA Clippers’ entire season is on the line Tuesday, as they are in a Game 7 of their second-round series against the Denver Nuggets, after collapsing in each of the last two games with a chance to win the series.
Game Information
Where: AdventHealth Arena, Orlando, Florida
When: Tuesday, September 15 at 6 p.m. PT
How to watch: ESPN, fubo TV
Projected Starting Lineups
Clippers: Patrick Beverley, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Marcus Morris Sr., Ivica Zubac
Nuggets: Jamal Murray, Gary Harris, Jerami Grant, Paul Millsap, Nikola Jokic
Injuries/Absences
Clippers: None
Nuggets: Will Barton (right knee), Vlatko Cancar (left foot) — OUT
Injuries do not appear to be a factor for the Clippers, which is great, but the team needs to put together a full four quarters of good basketball to get past the pesky Nuggets. LA also need to shake the “Uh oh, here we go again” energy around the team, as another loss to reverse a 3-1 series edge and end their season early would lead to an offseason of many questions around the team.
With this being the first Game 7 of the Kawhi Leonard-Paul George Clippers era, no one knows what to expect. Leonard took a team with less talent to an NBA title last season, and he’s been largely strong throughout the playoffs. The supporting cast? It’s been a mixed bag, and the last two games have been real gut checks.
The biggest gut check of the season is here. The Clippers need to win Tuesday or it’s all over for this season.
