LA snapped a two-game losing run with a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday in Minneapolis. Lou Williams served as the secondary scoring option with Paul George still out injured, and Patrick Beverley’s return to the lineup after recovering from an injury provided a big boost on the night for the Clippers.
They’ll be taking on a Chicago team that broke two records in their win midweek over the New Orleans Pelicans — they scored 25 3-pointers, breaking a franchise record, and Zach LaVine and Coby White became the first teammates in NBA history to drain at least eight 3-pointers each in a game.
When these teams met back on Jan. 10 at Staples Center, the Clippers pulled ahead to win by three points, but LaVine was on fire, scoring 45 points on the day in the loss. Kawhi Leonard had his best-ever scoring quarter in the winning effort.
The Clippers have a superior record and a more complete team, but the Bulls have some talent to be wary of. Don’t be surprised if this is another tight contest as we head into the weekend.
