The Clippers couldn’t sweep the season series against the Knicks, as they dropped their final regular season home game of the season, 106-100.

LA’s lead got to as big as nine midway through the second quarter, but New York just hung around all game and ultimately pulled away in the fourth quarter, taking a double digit lead at one point.

It was a two-man show for the Knicks, as Derrick Rose and former Clipper Reggie Bullock combined for nearly half of their points. Rose dropped 25 off the bench while going 11-for-17 from the field while Bullock scored 24 and knocked down five from deep. As a team, the Knicks shot just under 47 percent from the field and over 40 percent from deep.

One minute into the fourth quarter, the Clippers cut their deficit to only three points. However, they just couldn’t seem to chip in any more. No matter how many times LA was able to knock down a bucket to keep it within 5-6 points, the Knicks seemed to always respond with a basket to keep it at eight or so points.

Kawhi Leonard led the way with 29 points, however he had a very rough day shooting the ball. He knocked down only nine of his 26 shot attempts and was a -6 when he was on the court. Paul George scored 18, and he also had a pretty bad day shooting. He was 8-for-20 and was 2-for-9 from deep.

The Clippers will now head out on a four-game road trip to close out their 2020-2021 campaign.
