Can team repay them for that belief down the stretch?

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NBA. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged-in Los Angeles Clippers fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.

The roller-coaster continues for the Clippers. Fan confidence rebounded in a major way in the latest SB Nation Reacts survey, after the Game 3 and Game 4 wins in Dallas over the Dallas Mavericks to tie the series at 2-2. The confidence rose 20 percentage points, to 80 percent, so those two wins were truly massive.

This survey was submitted before Game 5, so the spike in confidence would probably be more leveled at this point, but you never know, perhaps fans think the Clips just want the drama but will prevail in the end.

Now, perhaps of more interest after Game 5, what do fans think is a “must-win” game in a playoff series? The most popular response was when teams are down 2-1 in a series, which edged actual elimination games among respondents. In fact, Game 5 of a 2-2 series only got 20 percent of the vote. Of course, in the Clippers’ case, they are in a literal must-win game for Game 6 on Friday in Dallas, but it’s an interesting sports bar conversation topic to consider.

One more question that touched on the Clippers-Mavericks series concerned which star’s injury was most significant to his team. Luka Doncic’s neck issue was second behind Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis’ groin concern, which makes sense in Round 1 with some hindsight because the Lakers are facing elimination and the Mavericks are a game away from advancing.
